100 Miles. 2 Months. Do you have what it takes to run Louisville to Lexington? The Lou2Lex Virtual Ultra will test your endurance as you run the equivalent of a scenic route from Cardinal Stadium in Louisville to Kroger Field in Lexington while supporting a great cause. You can run solo outside, on a treadmill, or with others in your training circle. Keep track of your miles and when you reach 100 miles, you'll receive a great gender-specific tank top and Kentucky-shaped finisher medal. *Please allow up to 2 weeks to receive once the challenge is completed on July 31. We will ship out all items at the end of July/beginning of August.
Team Louisville vs. Team Lexington
Are you Team Louisville or Team Lexington? During the registration process, you'll get to choose your Team. For those who choose Team Louisville, your race registration will go to support the One Louisville Fund. The One Louisville: COVID-19 Response Fund deploys financial support to households, businesses, and nonprofit organizations working at the frontlines of the Louisville-area coronavirus outbreak. For those who choose Team Lexington, your race registration will go to support the Coronavirus Response Fund. Led by a partnership between United Way of the Bluegrass (UWBG) and Blue Grass Community Foundation (BGCF), the Coronavirus Response Fund provides flexible resources to organizations in central Kentucky working with communities who are disproportionately impacted by coronavirus (COVID-19) and the economic consequences of this outbreak.
Don't have a city preference? No worries, we've got you covered! Your donation can also go towards the state's Team Kentucky Fund. This fund provides assistance to Kentuckians who have been severely financially impacted by the COVID-19 emergency.
No matter which team you choose, your registration will support our local community!
Tracking Your Mileage
While 100 miles may seem daunting, remember that you have until July 31 to complete the challenge. You can do all 100 miles at once, or space it over however many days you need, going at whatever pace you'd like. You can use any variety of running apps or a GPS watch to keep track of your running. We've also created this spreadsheet template for you to keep track of your distance, time, and average pace. As you train, remember to post your progress on social media using the hashtag #Lou2Lex. When you hit 100, log back in to your RunSignUp account to submit your overall time for your 100 miles. We won't require any "proof" of completion, as this is completely on the honor system. Then, we'll send you your challenge swag once the Virtual Ultra wraps up on July 31. We'll also choose lucky finishers to receive swag and gift certificates from local Louisville and Lexington businesses.
